Unlike traditional Spanish classes that only use books or grammar lessons, take advantage of Spanish classes that are both interactive and immersive. As a long-term stay hostel, our goal is to have our guests learn how to have a conversation, travel, purchase food/goods, and to gain the confidence to actually practice speaking Spanish with the locals right here in Ayampe! We highly encourage our guests to take Spanish classes during their stay, as one of the best ways to truly get to know a new place is by speaking the language!
Immerse yourself in the Latin culture!
While your Spanish classes will use traditional methods and emphasize on grammar, we feel the more opportunities our guests have to speak Spanish, then the quicker they will learn. To make your learning experience more interactive and practical, we can take a trip to the local fruit and veggie market to practice using your newly learned Spanish food vocabulary. Or come surf with us to find out the best surf spots by chatting with the locals. We find that these kind of trips provide more opportunities for our guests to use their newly learned vocabulary and grammar, which also increases the likelihood of retaining the information…plus it is way more fun!
One-on-One Classes or Group Classes
At La Casa, we understand that each individual learns at a different pace and that each person may be at a different level in terms of speaking and understanding Spanish. If you are interested in taking Spanish classes, you can decide between one-on-one or group Spanish classes. Group classes help motivate students and provide opportunities to practice your Spanish with your other classmates (and is cheaper per student) whereas one-on-one Spanish classes are geared towards creating a customized class to fit your specific needs, pace, weaknesses, and level. Either option you choose, we promise you will be speaking Spanish in no time!
